Provinces West- and Oost-Vlaanderen

The province West-Vlaanderen, the coastal area is changed a lot since the middle ages, when land was taken from the sea. Before, so also in megalithic time, the sea penetrated deep in land.
South in West-Vlaanderen on the hills, amongst which the 'Kemmelberg',  Neolithic remains where found.

'Bretonse dolmen' - Boezinge

In Boezinge, near Ieper (Ypres), this imported Breton dolmen.
It's a part of a monument to honour Breton (French) soldiers who felt in WO I,
'Le Carrefour des Roses', also called 'Bretons Kruis'.

Peetje and Meetje' - Kluisberg (Oost-Vlaanderen)

In origin there where only two stones, probably the third stone and the cover stone where added in the 20th century.

'Peetje en Meetje' are not classified as real megaliths,
but it is unknown since how long they are 'guarding' the place...
