HorsensSome remarkable megalithic monuments remain on the west border of the
city Horsens.
Gronhoj JaettestueThis nice and well-preserved passage tomb (+- 3200 B.C.) is situated in a field near the lake "Bygholm So". A four-meter long and one-meter high entrance leads to a chamber made of big megaliths. The hill has a diameter about 20-meter and a height about 2meter75. The entrance is situated on the southeast side. The room counts eight big side stones en is covered whit two big stones. The holes between the side stones are filled whit flat stones. About sixty kerbstones encircle the hill. The hill was investigated and restored in 1940.
Holger Danskes Hoj - LangdyssenA nice situated grave-mound. Only the side stones of the circular chamber remain. About fifty meter northwest of Langdyssen lays another grave-mound, called "Norremark" (no picture). Stone road mark to Holger Danskes Hoj
